Hi all friends, a big Thank You for all your appreciations...
General Description:
I wish to thank to Roland and Gunter, to provide this solid map. The only flaw was seeing AI cogs on rivers, but after 1302's, all white flagged ships were already disappeared from my sight. Beside that, I noticed any -problematic- anomaly. The map readjusted and renamed finally by myself. There were some pirate ships that suddenly lose their condition to zero and therefore lost in engagements; but this is a common problem independent of maps, I think. You may check them at General Ship Roster, I intentionally didn't cleared them from.
My habitual good point of beginning...never changed since 2004...To read the beginning of this 3 000 000 history, please follow this
link as the first save of the Game, dating 10 May 1300:
1./ Patrician level of difficulty; one snaikka, 1 000 Gold.
2./ Hometown with Iron Goods industry ( preferably with Iron Ore and/or Timber production).
3./ Lord Mayor electoral date in October.
4./ The two ports with Captains already checked.
5./ Arming and manning *The Ship* as possible to increase the fleet (and the Company Value) very quickly.
6./ Alderman electoral date in March or April ( I occasionally prefer to fulfill three successive "Notorious Pirate" missions that quickly qualifies me as Candidate ). So as late as in one year, I became Alderman to force the cities for enlarging the City Walls (just put a lonely plant outside the level 1 wall and confirm the proposal). In actual Game, I did not bother to be Alderman, not to force the map for stability.
Ships:
As soon as I had money, construction orders were given everywhere. I quickly upgraded all naval yards to be built hulk 700, and all yards were under continuous building orders until now...(Tonnage is a very important factor in this game) and even at 1316, upgrading progress continuing. Check private / personal messages menu about launching (set to:never delete).. In a given city, calculate the period between two launchings... At this time, I have to wait 49 days for a brand new hulk, and 25 days for a crayer, in each of those 40 cities (not checked for all). I had some doubts for the Game not to recognize this huge number of ships, but for this moment, it's OK. Critical threshold was 8 192 but the game survived, so I will force soon 16 384 barrier. If you once upgraded all naval yards to full capacity vessels, all the captured pirate ships and impounded units after loans are granted at full capacity.. Cool!
Pirates:
There are 8 ports on the map that Escort/Fugitive missions are given: Firstly Edinburgh, the only city that cog-gy pirates can also emerge. In Bruges, Bremen, Aalborg, Rostock, Gdansk, Riga and Stockholm...that you may have Escort and Fugitive missions. These ports became naturally my Naval Bases, either for replenish my SECURITY cogs + crayers and for desarming + repairing + renaming all pirate vessels. The center of these naval bases is surely Bremerhaven (you will find here enormous quantity of arms).
While pirate maps, those Pirate Hunter missions, there are another fixed number of cities. This time, the eventual distribution is made by the Game with alternation between alignated *seashore* cities. So in this map, Hunter missions are given in Edinburg, Scarborough, London, Haarlem, Gröningen, Hamburg ....and so on...The exception of this rule is the Escort / Fugitive cities: there also, Pirate Hunter missions are given. Finally, no hunter missions were given in River Cities.
After deciding to publish this actual save, for the sake of simplicity and clean appearence, I disbanded 99 % units of the Kriegsmarine (war fleet). Disbanding were made at Rügenwald...and at the tavern there, you will find ca. 150 Captains with very good sailing and fighting abilities.
