I am replaying the last section of my already published (and broke for the first time 3 000 000+ inhabitants barrier) game; this time with the main objective to reach also a fleet of 20 000+ ships w/ 200 000+ sailors in a single game.
Well, since ca. fifteen days I have found a good occasion of deep-concentrated gaming session. Heavy percentage of the construction work is done, so I had the opportunity to reserve most of my gaming time on ship gathering. Between each consecutive Game dates, there is one - real - day of gaming sequence... Here are the details:
21 Jul ..1312 ........... 9 152 ships
14 Sep 1312 ........... 9 377..."
01 Nov 1312 ........... 9 582..."
14 Dec 1312 ........... 9 760..."
14 Jan 1313 ........... 9 900..."
14 Feb 1313 ......... 10 045..."
20 Mar 1313 ......... 10 200..."
20 Apr .1313 ......... 10 341..."
11 May 1313 ......... 10 428..."
15 Jun..1313 ......... 10 581..."
20 Jul ..1313 ......... 10 733..." .
So in a period of an exact year, the War Machine + Financial Circles + Naval Yards have managed to add 1 581 new ships to the existing fleet. In other point of view, this makes 131 ships/game month; or 158 ships/real day gaming session... All saved games were kept for future reference.
Now the War Machine is completely installed and running... On *all of 100* Pirate Hunter spots on the main Hanse Map (Those Avenge-my-Brother Missions, given from tavern's side room), I have min. 2 Cog 390's, completely armed and manned with a very good captain. In my 8 Naval Bases [where all pirate missions + (Escort +Fugitive Duties) are given], I have min. 5 to 8'er Cog 390's, ready for the call of duty, as swapping vessels. There is also 4 to 6'er vessels on each base under repairs or on swapping courses... The canvas is completed with 30 Crayers 250's, stationed on the main ship route's intersections, as Guards for fleeing ships.

My own Ship Naming Convention:
In the beginning, while naval yards are far from full capacity, the ships are labeled as follows:
Type:................Level 1...........Level 2...........Level 3
Snaikka..................150................120.................90
Labeled......Snaikka 015......Snaikka 12.....Snaikka 90
Crayer...................280................230................180
Labeled.......Crayer 028.......Crayer 23......Crayer 180
Cog......................450................370.................290
Labeled..........Cog 045...........Cog 37...........Cog 290
Hulk.....................550................450.................350
Labeled.........Hulk 055...........Hulk 45..........Hulk 350
When full capacity is reached, I simply use the type of the ship as label, for *all* non-upgraded vessels. For level 2 and level 3 units, canonic nomenclature continues to be used.
For all other units, Name follows Function.
